The Golden Globe Awards
Today’s red carpet saw some of our favourite Glamour Mamas strut their stuff. It’s all very well and good for these gals to be dressed by some of the worlds best designers and a veritable swat team of A-list stylists, hairdressers and makeup artists… but what does it all mean to us Mamas at home dealing with the really glamorous stuff?
Well, it turns out there are fashion lessons aplenty we Glamour Mamas can learn from our lounge rooms…
Did Claire Danes really have a baby four weeks ago?! Lesson #1: Drapery is flattering to Mama Tums. Lesson #2: Diagonal lines detract from Mama Tums. Lesson#3: And halter necklines showcase a full mama bosom gorgeously.
This is what we all feel like wearing when we have a 3 month old baby. Lesson #4: a glamour mu-mu rocks. Mamas everywhere applaud Adele for the healthy dose of reality.
Lesson #5: Flaunt a milk bar with a plunging neckline. Show it whilst you’ve got it! Kate Hudson knows the drill. Lesson #6: good black jersey dress sucks you in and smooths out lumps n bumps. Just be sure to wear your Spanx underneath!
Lesson #7: A pop of colour can instantly improve a Mamas outlook from preachy to peachy.
Lesson #8: You don’t have to be in your twenties to ooze style and, Lesson #9: you don’t have to show any skin to sizzle. Dame Helen Mirren has both style in spades. Bravo!
The smoking hot Megan Fox claims her body “bounced back” after giving birth 6 months ago without doing any excercise. Well, I know plenty of Mamas in the same boat but they don’t look like this… this body is what a million dollar paycheck, amazing genetics and an aversion to chokkie bikkies gets you. Lesson #10: remember, celebrities look like this because they are paid to.
