South Coast Foodie Alert: Rick Stein at Bannisters,Mollymook
There is so much to do on the South Coast. Much of which revolves around eating.
So of course the trip wasn’t complete without a sitting at internationally acclaimed chef Rick Stein’s restaurant Bannisters, at Mollymook.
Mum and I have watched his TV shows together and love his approach to fresh seafood, so of course we both had high expectations. And he didn’t disappoint.

As for the food, we all oohed and ahhed so much it started to sound like that scene from When Harry Met Sally.
I can’t go past a Fish Pie and Rick’s was unbelievable; the local Clyde River oysters the freshest I’ve ever eaten and the raisin ice cream with sherry and espresso just pushed me over the edge into desert heaven.
But really, I would have been happy enough with the Kiddos fish and chips followed by homemade sorbet. Damn lucky Kiddos.
