Swimsuits to Flatter Mama Tums

The time is now…”

There’s no more avoiding it.

Tis the season of weekly swimming lessons, pool play, water splash parks and beach outings. So just how do we pour ourselves into a tiny bit of flimsy lycra and ooze more style than wobbly bits?

Here is the Glamour Mama guide for successful swimsuit shopping – minus the tears and tantrums.

1. Get a Spray Tan

Somehow a tan does make you look and feel more taut, toned and terrific. Goodbye ghoulish paste and hello sun goddess.

2. Think of Swimwear like Shapewear

Look for styles with built in bust support, tummy control panels and larger cup fittings. Ensure that the suit fits you well – leave the grabbing and pinching to your Kiddo.

3. Halter necks and V-Necks can flatter a full bust AND enhance a small bust

So whether you are at the Milk Bar stage, or the Deflated Balloon stage of breastfeeding – these are the two necklines we all need!

4. Rouched detail or diagonal lines reduce a Mama Tum

Those 50’s pinup gals were onto it… look for retro inspiration.

5. Bright colours and bold tropical prints distract from, well, everything.
